BlogHer Britt Bravo interviews Anna Lappe about her new book, Diet for a Hot Planet, and it seems like there is hope. And there is meaningful action. I interviewed Anna myself a couple of years ago, and she has the same practical, positive message as then. Check out this year's recent interview and feel hopeful, not downtrodden, about mankind's future:

Thanks for the shout out, Elisa. I'm interested to see what you think of the book.

I like Anna Lappe a lot. She is great about spreading optimism with just the right amount of blatant realism. I am in the same boat as Britt, I look forward to hearing what you think of the book.

Indeed, a vegan diet is the most important step to help the planet, but other things can help, too. DfaHP is a great book, intelligently written and I learned quite a lot from it. It's a great book to give those who claim to be environmentally friendly but don't change their actions... maybe along with Saffron's new one. :)
