I haven't done a tree in a few years, and since our home is still trying to recover from post-wedding clutter, i don't think we'll make it this year either.
But, despite the fact that I'm a total non-religious person who's Jewish, if I'm anything, I've always loved decorating for the holidays, including having a tree.
A lot of the references in the hippyshopper post are for UK resources, but the points about finding a tree from a farm that engages in sustainable practices and recycling are valid anywhere.
A quick Google search reveals numerous articles and posts on this subject too, so if you like to pore over multiple sources before making a decision, have at it!
Me? I like a real tree. But next time I get one, I might think a little harder about where it came from.
How about you?
